Why it works offline
Staff clock in from basements and car parks. A punch is saved on the phone with its own id and the exact time it happened, then synced when signal returns — so a dead zone never costs someone a day's attendance. Because the id is generated on the device, a retry after a dropped connection can never create a double punch.
